
First paper with a master's student!
I'm really excited to let you know that a paper I wrote with MBiolSci student Simon Chapman has been accepted for publication in BMC Evolutionary Biology. I'm really excited Simon's exceptional work is being recognised. He was a sensational student and achieved top grades, but this is the icing on the cake. I'll wait to tell you about results, but it does involve data I've been collecting for several years as part of the Myanmar Elephant Project on elephant body size. #Asiane

New paper in the press
Our latest paper published last week got a lot of press attention! The main result of the paper, that elephants born in the "high stress" monsoon season have faster reproductive ageing was of interest to lots of news agencies. The paper was featured on the homepage of the University of Sheffield.
