Tess starts lab work
Master's student Teresa Santos has now started lab work on the population genetics and pairwise relatedness between elephants at our study site. We're really excited to see the results start to come through soon. Tess and Hannah successful in obtaining funding from the Erasmus scheme to support Tess' stay in the UK.

New grant awarded
I'm pleased to announce that the project has been awarded a grant from the Cambridge-Africa Alborada Research fund. The grant of £19,340 will fund field data collection on the genetics and social aspects of the Bull Network project. I'm very excited because this will enable us to have the staff we need on the ground in South Africa, including hiring a new Research Assistant in January. We'll give you more updates on the data collection as it happens.
