I'm very pleased to let one of my brand new Field Assistants, Sinhle Mathebula introduce himself.
"I am a qualified Ranger and a specialist Bird Guide. My childhood was spent in the Timabvati Nature Reserve the place of the white lions, endemic only to this reserve in the whole world. There I got exposed to a pristine wilderness, frantic calls Francols were my early wake up call. I spent all afternoons interacting with wildlife around the Motswari game lodge, teaching myself to stay away from big game like lions and elephants. Every night would be overwhelmed either by lion roars or hyaena calls. I am very passionate about the bush from there. Wildlife photography and tracking are both my sports. With all my background knowledge, skills and qualifications i currently work as a field researcher for Elephants Alive."
Needless to say it was a real pleasure to have Sinhle around on my most recent field trip. More photos and news from the field to follow soon!
